After we did blog corrections, We are doing the quote of the week "The measure of any society is how it treats its women and girls" by Michelle Obama. We are now talking about how society treats women differently in places of the world and past times. Now, we are moving to the question of the week,
"How is language shifting to become more gender inclusive?" We discussed that some quotes refer to a certain gender like men, man, he, she, her, and women. Instead of saying all or everyone, and also how different places and events are gender inclusive.
Now, we are moving to the song of the week: "Flawless" by Beyonce and Chimamanda Adichie. We talked about how he song is telling us how girls should be more confident in themselves, and how girls should act in religion and on media.
Now, we are going our Essay prompt on The Hate U Give and how the movie either remained faithful to the book or departed and how Starr should take a stand, if Quinn should take a stand from All American Boy, an example from history, and an example from personal experience, from our yesterday's work. We are now working on our third Essay prompt on a book v. movie while Ms. Nakada comes to check our RJ'S. Now the bell rang and it's time for linch.
