Image
Agenda: "Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver Prompts for NaPoWriMo HW: Turn in 13.1-13.4 signed and th e drafts of 10-15 poems you've written.  * if you haven't turned work in (RJs, Book Projects, Essays, Poetry Drafts) the school will be calling home to see why. If you don't know how to turn things in on Schoology, please ask someone for help! No Zoom class today. Just get work turned in and I will see you for class on Monday.  Our poem for today is making the rounds and offering lots of comfort during these crazy times.  Read through the poem 3-4 times (preferably out loud).  What feeling/tone do you get from the poem?  What is it about?  What poetic elements do you notice happening in this poem?  Annotate and make sense of this poem. For today's prompts: write a poem that alternates between things you struggle with and ways the natural world responds like Oliver does in "Wild Geese." From  Winter Tangerine :
