Our poem today is: "A Song In The Front Yard" by Gwendolyn Brooks. Read through the poem 2-3 times (preferably out loud). What feeling/tone do you get from the poem? What is it about? Now for our prompts: Inspired by Gwendolyn Brooks' poem, write about the things you wish you could do that you a forbidden to do.
