New Semester
Hw: RJ 1.1 Read for 20-30 minutes and record.

So, today is the first the day back from Winter Break. We first got new seats, and once we got settled in class, Angel started to read his blog. Then, he picked me. A'denn wanted to be part of the blog so there you go. After that, we started to write in our table of contents number 19, 20, 21. Spring Quotes. Spring Questions. Spring Songs. We started to write the quote of the week which is, "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" by Mary Oliver. Ms. Nakada played an audio of the Mary Oliver reading her poem. We then moved on to the song of the week which is, "What 2020 news are you anxious/ excited about?" Now, we are talking about the problem between the USA and Iran. Then, we started to talk about the wild fires in Australia. Now, we moved on to the song of the week which is "What's Goin' On" by Marvin Gaye. Ms. Nakada now asked what wast the song about.
We are finally done writing the quote, question, and song of the week. Ms. Nakada passed out a paper with the Spring Semester Syllabus. She has started explaining the paper. In the first unit we get to pick a book to read in between All American Boys, The Hate U Gave, To Kill A Mockingbird, and MARCH. The second unit is about, how does historical feature capture the truth? The third unit is about National Poetry Month. The fourth unit is a mini unit about Shakespeare and the fifth unit is a culminating unit. The bell rang to to lunch so, bye!
