Good morning, y'all and happy early Tuesday. Today is also Cinco de Mayo which recognizes an unlikely victory by Mexico over the French in Pueblo. So if you're celebrating, enjoy, and don't be racist. If you aren't sure what this would entail, we can discuss, but most of y'all seem smarter than the average person on issues of race and cultural appreciation v. appropriation.

Today's Zoom class is short for Tuesday at 1:00.

Today we're going to work on writing our introductions. 

In your introduction you can tell a little about the context of your poems. You can write about how you feel about poetry and who inspired poetry during this time. Here is my sample for this year:
